Don’t be caught off guard by Google’s changes

Google has recently announced that effective April 21st, web sites that are NOT mobile-friendly will now be ranked lower in Google’s mobile search results over web sites that are optimized for a mobile device.

Starting this week, Google will be expanding their ranking signals to include mobile friendliness. In the past, this meant simply putting a notation beside your web site in the search results to say ‘mobile friendly’. Now this means your actual ranking will be affected, and possibly lower as a result. This change will have a significant impact in the search results.
The good news!

If your web site is already optimized for mobile devices, your site has the potential to get a higher ranking. Not to mention that users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.
